Holly Mash BVSc VetMFHom IVAS MRCVS

Holly Mash and Penny Holly Mash is a fully qualified veterinary surgeon who specialises in homeopathy and acupuncture for cats and dogs. She became part of the team at Vets on White Hart Lane in April 2007 and runs a once weekly Complementary Health Clinic (please ring to make an appointment).

Homeopathy is a natural and holistic form of medicine. It is gentle and does not have side effects. It can be effective in treating a wide range of conditions - from allergies, skin complaints and gastrointestinal disorders to behavioural and emotional problems. It is especially useful in cases that are ongoing or long standing. Acupuncture acts for pets in the same way as it does in humans - providing natural pain relief in musculoskeletal conditions such as arthritis and lameness.

Holly qualified as a veterinary surgeon from Bristol University in 2001. She then worked in mixed practice for a year before specialising in companion animals.

In 2003 she worked in a holistic veterinary practice in Sydney and studied Traditional Chinese Medicine through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, gaining her IVAS acupuncture certification.

Holly also completed the five year course with the Faculty of Homeopathy and gained her membership qualification (VetMFHom), to become one of the few fully qualified homeopathic veterinary surgeons in the UK.

Holly is the Holistic Veterinary Advisor to both `Your Dog` and `Your Cat` magazines.

In her spare time Holly enjoys walking her cocker spaniel Penny - who gets into a lot of trouble chasing squirrels!
