Mel Evans RVN - Veterinary Nurse

Mel Evans RVNMel decided to pursue her career in veterinary nursing in 1997 after completing four years at university studying applied biology sciences. She qualified in August 2000 as a Veterinary Nurse.

Mel is very interested in both surgical and medical nursing and is really looking forward to running our Dental and Slimmers Clinics. It is important to control your pets diet and try not to allow them to become overweight. Being overweight will make them prone to many more health problems and reduce life expectancy.

We have accurate weighing platforms to keep a regular check and to make sure the diet is adjusted accordingly.  Reducing diets are prescribed to achieve weight loss and Mel will help to produce a program designed to achieve the results required.

Clients are welcome to drop in and use the weighing platform in the waiting room. Cats will need to be in a basket which then can be weighed separately to arrive at the 'true' weight of the cat. Dogs of most sizes just need to stand on the platform and be kept reasonably still to read their weight.
