Insurance
Insurance is available to cover the cost of veterinary fees for treatment of medical conditions, investigations and surgical operations. Existing conditions will not be covered and there will be an excess charged depending on the breed and age of your pet. It may well be worth taking out a policy for peace of mind should unforeseen problems arise.There has been a change in the pet insurance industry and it is now under the auspices of the F.S.A.
This means that from now on we can only discuss pet insurance generally without advising on specific companies or policies. More importantly it also means we cannot speak to the insurance companies on your behalf when sorting out a claim.
From now on, when your insured animal receives treatment we ask you to:
- Contact your insurance company to get a claim form. When you have completed and signed YOUR section bring it to us.
- WE fill the VET section of the form and send it to the insurance company.
- Due to the increased volume of these forms, please allow up to 4 weeks for us to complete and send it to the insurance company.
- Any queries regarding the claim are then a matter between you and the insurance company.
